10 Ways to Let Yourself Go & What to Do About It

Lose focus on your health and you’re well on your way to letting yourself go.

You may have the best of intentions. You plan workout ahead and set time aside.

It’s planned, it even makes it into the calendar yet, somehow, it never gets done.

Surprising? Hardly.

Your job is demanding. You find yourself putting out fires and dealing with arising emergencies. Thirty minute meetings lasts hour and a half. You become so focused on your work that hours go by and you don’t even notice.. Somehow the workout time, YOUR time, gets mangled and stolen.

As it becomes apparent that there will be no working out today, you promise yourself that tomorrow you’ll make time. You even write it down in your calendar.

And the cycle continues.

What to do:

  • Take 100% responsibility for your health
  • Remind yourself to workout. Use free reminder service like Memo To Me or Yahoo or Google calendars. Yahoo will even text reminder to your cellphone.
  • Workout first thing in the morning. Before fires, emergencies, code to write, bugs to fix, meetings to attend – workout and take care of you first.
  • Workout in 10 minute increments throughout the day. Use reminder service to center on your health

How do you keep focused and remember to workout?
