Simple and effective. Must admit, it is my favorite combination.
This week’s workout is based around Kettlebell Snatch – Tzar of kettlebell exercises.
It is perfect routine for those who want to throw a bit more training volume into their routine, increase stamina and improve snatching form. Complete this workout once a week, and very soon your stamina and strength will jump up 10-fold.
The workout:
- Do a 10-15 warm-up. Jog, walk – get blood circulating.
- Main workout: Do KB Snatch ladder: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15
- Cool down, stretch
Notes:
Use a kettlebell that you would consider light. If you’re used to working out with 16kg and use a 20kg once in a while, for this routine stick to 12kg.
The workout is deceivingly simple and appears as easy as a walk in a park. Keep in mind that by the end you complete 120 snatches per side! That’s 240 snatches all together.
Execution:
Do Right and Left sides back-to-back, dynamically switching kettlebell between hands.
Rest:
10-60sec. Initially use less rest. As you get into higher reps, use a bit more time.
