Have been training with kettlebells for a few years now, but mostly in the “hardstyle” fashion.

I few hours with a local AKC coach opened my eyes to the finer technical aspects of kettlebell sport lifting.

I hope someday to attain rank in kettlebell sport and continue to further my personal and professional development.

    Hi Denis,
Nice with a new competition! You are already linked on my blog, of course.
    My goals with kettlebell training:

-develop a good and safe technique
-Lccj: 44 reps at 24kg; and 64 reps at 20kgs, and to get it okeyed by judge.
    - 100 points in biathlon w 24kgs at a competition.
-40/40 in snatch with 24 kg.

That became a longish reply :-)

    Enjoy the journey!

    Denis,
Congratulations on your Technical Advisor position with IKFF. You’ve come a long way since I first saw your blog a couple years ago. Are you still in the East Bay?

I really like your rank tables, by the way, and agree that GS should stick with the original Russian ranks.

I’ve been training with both hardstyle and GS methods, but gave up on the GS due to overtraining (i.e. improper self-coaching).

I’d like to incorporate a GS cycle into my training and would like to start by training to reach rank 4 in the biathlon. I think this is very doable (is that a word?) with the proper coaching and I would be honored to be your student.

I’m already subscribed and you’re linked on my GS page.

    All the best,

    Jim

    Coach Denis,

Check on all three requirements above.

My two main goals this year are IKFF Rank IV in the Biatholon by this summer and Scott Sonnon’s Trial by Fire with the 15 lb Clubbell.

Your posts on Snatch techniques have been very helpful. I am looking forward to the next one!

    Cheers,
    Richard

    Hi Denis,

This is Jad from the Kettlebell Athletica gym ‘down-under’. My goal this year is to compete in my first GS competition. I want to master the GS technique so that I can perform at my best and I know that your feedback would be invaluable.
I’ve been training hard-style for nearly 3 years and in GS for the past 4 months and now I want to fine-tune my technique by following a progressive GS program with the assistance of an online coach.

FYI – I’ve had a minor setback in my training regime due to a nasty fall 6 weeks ago resulting in a fractured right-hand finger and a left leg sprain. The good news is that these injuries are healing well and I’m looking forward to resuming training to achieve my goal. I am also prepared to travel internationally this year for competition

    Hi Denis,
after winning the last comp I thought why not try again. Your help was invaluable to me and really helped me with my technique and performance. I can only guess what the extra tuition would help me accomplish.

1: Training goals are as follows:
Visit the Slovenain Kettlebellers and train GS with the guys.

2: More GS comps, followed by more GS comps followed by more of the same.

3: Working hard with 24s and hope to compete at the end of the year with 24s and make rank with those.

4: Scott Sonnon’s TacFit to copmletion.

    Fingers crossed.
    Mark

My goal is to improve my technique in Jerk & Snatch, stand the 10 min. each with 24kg and compete at the biathlon.

    Cheers,
    Sven
