Don’t Exercise, Move Your Way To Weight Loss and Fitness

Please stop exercising. Please?
For most of us exercise is an annoyance. It is difficult, hard to do and boring.
We know we should exercise. Dah!
But where does all the time go?
It seems like juggling work, family and trying to relax a bit and de-stress does not leave much room for anything else…
Seriously, is it wrong to spend some quality time with a couch after a hard day of work??
You mean after a heck-of-a-day at work, I have to abuse myself some more at a gym? I’m tired!
I want to get home and relax. Or if you blessed with a family and kids, you have your hands full with that.
Exercise? Really?
- 3-4 hours a week of gym
- Trying to find that extra time away work, home and family
- Difficult, challenging, boring
Instead of thinking of exercise, focus on moving and make it fun.
The more you move, the better off you are.
- Walk as much as possible
- Take stairs
- Get out of the gym – go hiking, swimming, or simply walk outside
The more you do, the better you will feel!
Start at a manageable, doable level and go from there!
When you switch your focus from exercise to moving, everything becomes easer.
- Play with your kids on a playground instead of watching from a bench
- Walk to nearby store/bank/postal office
- Take a walk in a park, you will feel better (I promise)
- Grab family and/or friends and go on a hike
- Or go shopping and walk, walk, walk!
No more excuses of forgetting your workout gear, not having a gym near by or simply being too busy…
There is always time for movement. Move, or else!

Great article. Its nice to see someone promoting combining workouts with family time. My husband and I workout at the park while our kids play. It is good for us and great for the kids to see.
